Unfortunately Allison could not join due to having the flu. As with all my good intentions to get something healthy going, we'll hope this one sticks. I know she would enjoy it, and the kids benefitting seems to be motivation enough for me.
I am encouraged by our newly gained time at the new house. It isn't the norm just yet, but things are heading in the right direction. Tyler is home early enough to either help with dinner or help with homework. He is much more present than he was at the old house.
Aidan would still move back "home" if he had the choice, but after the holidays I feel that new memories were made to make this feel more like his new home.
Allison seems fine with it all, but she always seems fine with everything. Tyler just commented today about how she hasn't complained once about having the flu. He also added that if it were him he would act like he's dying. This is a true statement. Man flu is a real thing and not something to brag about. She's the strongest kid emotionally. Maybe she should be a Navy Seal.
So, tomorrow I stay home from work with Allison. I also make the time to make myself a dental appointment. I think it's been three years. New normal = time for Amy.
