Teaching

Back in the classroom, and it's going so, so well! I love teaching math at Grace. I have four classes of 11 students each, and they are lovely kids. Even the few I have that are a little goofy redirect well and want to succeed. It is such a huge change from my previous eight years teaching.

My team consists of me and four wonderful women. They are great, and we get along perfectly. I pinch myself each day. I honestly cannot believe this is my work environment.

Chrissy Nicholie (History), Kim Winans (Dean of School),
me (Math), Catherine Hague (ELA), and Stacy Dye (Science)

My classroom is adorable, and big thanks to Grandma Renee for buying me two beautiful pieces of art for the walls this summer when we were in Wimberley.

Allison loves coming up to my classroom after school, and Aidan is having a blast in GAP for an hour. I am able to cover tuition and my car payment each month with a tad left over. After all of that stress in the spring, I am forever grateful everything worked out the way it did. I am happy to be back at work, and I never thought I would say that. Never say never!

P.S. - My house is a mess with dog hair tumbleweeds floating around. Something had to give, right?
