Happy Easter!

He is risen! We had a nice Easter here at home with Omie and Papa Fred. This morning after we saw the bunny had visited the nests we had a huge breakfast and then headed to Easter service at 11:00.

When we came home we saw that the Easter bunny had come back and left eggs, everywhere!

Confetti eggs were all over the yard as well, and it made for a fun hunt. No one was safe!

The Get-Away

The golden egg took forever to find. We were all hunting.

Aidan's friend Avery from school told him that if he planted jelly beans in the yard then lollipops would sprout. Sure enough, she was right.

Allison got Daddy!

Finally! Aidan once again came away victorious.

Then, we dyed eggs this afternoon. A little late, but we now have some beautiful hard boiled eggs in the refrigerator.

Happy Easter from the McAfees and Millers! We hope your day was full of joy, friendship, family, and blessings.

Green Trails Easter Party

This morning we went to our neighborhood Easter party, and it was so fun! We have missed it the past few years due to going to Concan, rain cancellation, etc. It was nice to get back into something with our neighborhood. Since starting private school we are a little out of touch. We do go to the park often, but it just isn't the same as attending the neighborhood school.

Aidan's Egg Hunt

Look at that strategy! I think he is going to give Allison some real competition tomorrow.

Allison's Egg Hunt

This one was serious! 9-10 year olds don't mess around.

We visited the fire truck and firemen. We learned a ton!

She said the hat was extremely heavy.

So was the coat.

They really wanted to sit by the bell for a picture. Cracked me up. I have trained them well.

Adorable face painting close-up on our way home.

Spring Break 2016

We headed to the slopes this Spring Break in Taos, NM. Papa Jerry really made it possible for us to go. He and Nai Nai skied in Taos last winter with Aunt Laura and her family and recommended it.

We skied three days, and the first day was really spent just getting back into the groove. By day two we were hitting the blues. These kiddos ski so well. It really is fun to be up there with them.

Half way through our first day.

Day Three on the Blues

We had a great trip and are so grateful that we get to have these experiences as a family!

4th Graders Celebrate Texas

The fourth graders went to the San Jacinto Monument and Battleship Texas for their field trip on February 25th. We toured the museum, watched a video, and went to the top of the San Jacinto Monument.

Then we headed over to Battleship Texas where the kids learned what life was like for a sailor. They jumped in the hanging cots, went on all three levels, and pretended to fight off the enemy. This is a neat thing to do in the Houston area if you haven't been. The ship is really cool!

Then, on March 4th they joined the 3rd graders in singing about Texas. Their Spring Sing was full of fun songs about our home state. Allison played the xylophone like a pro!
