Garden Day

Today the 2nd and 4th graders had a garden party. They planted their plants that they will take care of this year, had healthy snacks, made pickles, and even came home with their own plant. Aidan really enjoyed it!

Wimbledon Bound

Nai Nai and Papa Jerry are here this weekend, and we braved the heat for some tennis. I tried to choose the best shots, but let's be honest...in 100 degree heat no one looks great, except the kids. We did have fun though!

 

The Boat

This picture makes me laugh. Their obsession with sushi continues. We went for dinner tonight after Allison finished gymnastics. She is on the Trampoline and Tumbling team this year and is now spending four hours a week at the gym. Aidan also returned taekwondo tonight. These are two very hungry kiddos!

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Friday Night Lights for the McAfees tonight. First we had a pep rally at school, and then Allison performed at the Houston Christian High School half time performance. It was a fun evening!

Bible Buddies

One of the jobs as a fifth grader at Grace is to be a Bible Buddy to a Kindergarten student. Allison is Ameeka's Bible Buddy, and it makes it extra special that these two are already friends. Ameeka loves Allison so much, and this was truly a special day for both girls.

Allison practiced and practiced her prayer for Ameeka. I was very proud of her dedication to doing well for her little friend. She has such a precious heart.

I am so glad that I have kitchen helpers now that we are back in school. A teaching momma just can't do it all alone. Aidan and Allison were the meatball masters tonight.
