Trampoline and Tumbling Super Meet

This past weekend we headed to Dallas for the Dallas T&T Cup. What a great experience for Allison. The meet was in a large arena, and her other grandparents could watch her compete via a live YouTube stream.

Allison is so impressive in how she can take all the nerves she was feeling ahead of time and completely focus during her events. She told me that she just thinks about her routine and what she needs to do. The butterflies are not there at all while she is in the moment. Unreal for a kid her age and what an awesome quality that will serve her well throughout her life.

This week in McAfee Land

Just a couple of quick shots!

Allison participated in "Middle School for a Moment" and this is her walking down the middle school hallway. WHAT?!?

Aidan took his incredibly impressive race car and participated in the Pinewood Derby with a few of his fellow boy scout friends. Daddy spent hours and hours on this car. It didn't perform well, but it sure was pretty and won "Most Realistic Car".

Christmas 2016

Wow! What a busy and fun Christmas we had this year. We saw every possible family member we could and pretty much filled every day of the two-week break with holiday cheer

First up - a quick drive to Wimberley for the annual Ethridge/Brevell Christmas party.

Are these cousins not the cutest?

Omie and Papa Fred came up for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We went to church, put out cookies and milk for Santa, and left his reindeer some food outside on the lawn. Christmas morning the kids were super spoiled once again!

Christmas Morning - Playing on their new Spooner Boards.

We stole away a few hours between house guests for a bike ride.

Round 3 - Nai Nai, Papa Jerry, Uncle Ross, and Corryn joined in on the fun.

We went to see "A Christmas Carol" at the Alley Theatre.
I love the Alley. It is small and intimate. It really gives the kids an up close and personal experience with acting.

Dinner before the play at Blue Fish. Sushi for all!

On our last full day together we took a bike ride through George Bush Park.
