Blacklight Last Day of School

The last day of school was blacklight themed for both 5th and 2nd grades. Allison's class put on the blacklight show for the entire school, and Aidan's class had a blacklight party. Fun for all!

5th Grade Graduation

It's here, the end of Allison's elementary career. There is a flooding of emotions: pride, joy, sadness, nostalgia, and on, and on, and on.

Allison has been an exemplary student throughout her days at both Pattison Elementary and Grace Lower School. She has maintained all As, earned the President's Award in both fourth and fifth grades, soared in math, found a love of writing, and been a friend to all of her classmates. Socially, emotionally, and academically this girl has shined.

During the ceremony Mrs. Shumate said, "Allison's friends say she is a happy person and an amazing artist. They say she stands up for others and knows how to take control of a project. Allison has been at Grace for three years." Those are some truly amazing qualities!

I feel very blessed that these two made me a mother. Love them with all that I am.

International Space Station Contact

This was so special. Jerry Ross, a former astronaut and friend of Omie and Papa Fred's, came to speak to the sixth and seventh grade students. I pulled Allison and Aidan from class to listen and meet him. Omie had brought them each his autgraphed book, "Spacewalker" a couple of years ago. His talk was spectacular, and I am so glad the kids joined in on this rare experience.
