Meet Percy

Well, our family is complete. We have a mom, a dad, a daughter, a son, a girl dog, and now a boy dog. DONE.

Meet Percy, affectionately named after Thomas the Train's best bud Percy. Percy is Lilly's half brother, they have the same father. These two really have become inseparable. They are absolutely adorable together. Lilly is still sleeping with Allison, and Percy sleeps with Aidan for the most part.

Today I tried to get a group shot. Not easy!!!!

These little Cavaliers really are amazing dogs. They are so patient and wonderful with the kids, all kids. The neighbors absolutely love them. Look at the above picture. Percy could care less that Aidan has his hands wrapped around his neck in an effort to lift his head. He turned around and gave Aidan a big lick on the mouth afterwards. They remind me of Austin's temperament so much. He would have loved these two.

Spring Break Skiing

This past spring break we went skiing again to Keystone, CO. We had so much fun! I have a ton of pictures and videos, so this is just a taste. Aidan and Allison both skied this year, and both kids did an amazing job. They will be out skiing us soon!

Leaving on the Plane for Colorado

This was already a highlight of the trip. The train in the Denver airport.

There was a lot of sledding. Some of these are hilarious!

Daddy and Papa Jerry dug a tunnel outside the condo.

On our fourth day of skiing the lift broke when Allison and I were 10 feet from getting off. Papa Jerry and Aidan were five chairs behind us. It took around 30 minutes to fix, but they were discussing getting everyone down with harnesses. Fortunately that did not happen!`

For the fifth and sixth days, Corryn and Uncle Ross joined us.

Allison and Papa Jerry going through trees and jumping. She is quite the dare devil!

Sixth and Final Day!

Six days of skiing wore all of us out. Aidan couldn't stay awake before making it to the hotel in Denver our last night, so Daddy just wheeled him on in.

We had so much fun. Thank you Nai Nai and Papa Jerry for another fabulous trip!

New Clothes

Both kids grew significantly over this past winter and needed new clothes and shoes. I let them sift through Hanna Andersson, Mini Boden, and Chasing Fireflies. Here are two of the outfits they chose.

Also, Allison was in a local Katy magazine for Pattison's PTA funded theater show. (Never mind that I'm the publicity chair for PTA...)

Funny Faces

This is a silly post, but I think someday the kids might like seeing these in their blog books. This was just a normal evening in February...

The Haircut and Mariachi Singing

One lovely day in February Aidan decided to cut his own hair. He said he didn't like the bangs hanging down, so he took sewing scissors in my bathroom and just chopped that hair right off! The look on my face must have been traumatic because he started crying immediately and apologizing. Poor kid!

After the Haircut

Essentially, he went so close to the hairline that all of his hair had to be cut the same length. The only other option was a buzz cut, and that just wasn't happening. As it grew out it looked pretty goofy, but he was finally able to get a normal haircut this past Wednesday.

Here is his school picture that was taken a week after his handy work.

One more funny Aidan phase we are in is the mariachi singing. So crazy!

Tae Kwon Do

Aidan just finished his second belt test for Tae Kwon Do. He LOVES this sport. He started back in January, and he is having an absolute blast.

A nice surprise when we started was that his friend from the Friendly Frogs class last year, Kevin, was starting at the same time. These two are so funny together, and it's really cute that they are in class and testing on the same schedule. Allison and I crack up watching them in class each time. Tyler is really enjoying practicing for the belt tests with him also.

Yelling, "Yes Sir!" There is a lot of yelling. Yelling, kicking, and punching...a little boy's paradise.

Friday was his yellow belt test. He broke the wood on the first try!
