Hey Boo Boo

We spent today at Lone Star Yogi. Allison asked if she could bring along a friend, since she is often the only girl, so Carmella from her pre-school class joined us. These kids had so much fun, and should easily sleep for a couple of days straight. We played at the water park for the majority of the day. All three in my crew have absolutely no fear. Allison and Carmella went down a slide that was insanely high (350 ft long), and Aidan probably would have done the same if I had let him. All of them loved the "serpent slide".

We played inside to cool off and for the mommies to re-group mentally. (At least that's what I did.)

We also colored Jellystone Park t-shirts and met Yogi Bear.

Miniature Golf closed out our day, and both of these girls talked about how much they loved it on the way home. I think I might have to take these two to play a little putt-putt next week. They were very interested in starting at hole 1 and going in order to hole 18. Allison even had a hole in one thanks to some golf lessons from Papa Jerry! Aidan was interested in the fact that the ball falls in a hole.

Before heading home we attempted a group shot once more.

Awesome day! I am going to cherish these week-day outings always. Once Kindergarten starts in August, things will forever be different. (In good and sad ways, of course. :))

HRH the Dutchess of Wellington's World Tour

Yesterday afternoon Christina called to see if Allison would like to go to up MPJH to see the decorations for that night's eighth grade dance. She said there would be a castle, so Allison dressed appropriately. They had so many places represented. It was amazing. These are a few of my favorite pictures. The entire bunch is on facebook.

On the way home I told her she needs to consider a career in Hollywood.

Allison's Pre-K Graduation

This morning was Allison's Pre-Kindergarten graduation program. It was so adorable! The busy bee class showed off things they had learned in motor skills and music class. Omie even made a quick, special trip up to Houston just for the ceremony.

We had a wonderful year at Child's Play at Epiphany. Allison is sad to leave, but she is also very excited about Kindergarten. And, we are not saying good-bye to this amazing pre-school. Aidan will start next year. Look out ladies!

Inflatable Katy

This morning we headed to Inflatable Katy for an hour and a half of inflatable fun. I think Aidan must have forgotten our last trip to Pump It Up, because he was a little wary of it at first. As soon as I carried him up the big slide once, that was over though.

Allison's sliding pose.
Seriously, where does she come up with this stuff?

A Fun Weekend

This past weekend was great. Papa Jerry and Nai Nai were here. We went to the park, had a bbq, went to Tye's birthday party, and spent so much time in the backyard. The weather was incredibly nice here.

I'll Hear About This Later

Each year I buy the kids a cheapo inflatable pool. Each year Tyler fusses and gripes because I leave it outside and have to throw it away. Well, it's happening again, and these two were loving it this afternoon! I really don't think these things are meant to make past a few months, do you?

MIA

Sorry to get behind on posts, but no sooner had I told my mother how happy I was we were experiencing a sick-free Spring all you-know-what broke loose.

Aidan was sick Thursday morning starting around 1:30 AM.

Tyler was sick this morning starting around midnight.

Alison was sick this morning starting around 3:30 AM.

Allison bounced back extremely quickly, within five hours. Aidan and Tyler, a very different story. Tell me ladies, who is the stronger gender? Ha!

This week I'll be sure to carry the camera with me. Allison and I did head to the pool yesterday. This was the opening weekend, and she was so excited. She has been asking about the pool opening since September. I see many visits this summer.

A Nice Surprise

On our side of the street each homeowner owns 20 feet past the back fence. There is a drainage easement. A week or so ago Tyler discovered some blackberry/dewberry bushes on our lot. (Is there a difference?) Today we headed back to see if they were ripe yet, and quite a few were. We have a large bowl full, and they are very delicious!
