First Day of 5th and 2nd Grade

Once again I am asking myself, how are we here? Allison is beginning her last year in Lower School. Next year, she will be a middle schooler. Ahhhh! They just won't listen to me when I tell them to stop growing.

Meet the Teacher

Allison was so busy running around with her friends that Daddy couldn't get a picture of her with Mrs. Hablinski. I'll catch one later. Here is Aidan with Mrs. Butrum though. Both kids have great teachers this year once again. Love these ladies!

First Day of School

Today also happens to be my 39th birthday. We don't need to talk about that though. :) In all seriousness, some of my students' parents sent cookies, brownies, flowers, etc. My colleagues also brought in cake and all sorts of munchies. I was spoiled for sure. I have good feelings about 39 and this school year for all of us!

Camp Omie and Papa Fred

Man did Omie and Papa Fred go all out this year. I had inservice for five days, with a weekend breaking it up. The kids went to Portland and had one last super-sized summer hurrah!

Pottery Painting

It's our last day of summer together. This afternoon the kids will go with Omie back to Portland for a few days while I head back to work. We just had to shove one more thing in, so we painted pottery!

Allison just finished her fourth summer at RRR, and once again she loved every minute of it. I love that she has a summer camp where she can grow as a young lady.

This year Omie and Papa Fred joined Grandma Renee, and me at the closing ceremony. I think Omie is ready to be an RRR girl!

After picking up Allison she and I drove to Concan to meet Daddy, Aidan, and the Williams. The Williams had never been to the Frio River, and they became instant river rats.
